Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Sunday paid homage to deceased human rights activist Stan Swamy.

Stalin paid homage to the ashes of Swamy at the Loyola College here by placing a wreath, an official release said.

Priest-activist Stan Swamy, arrested under an anti- terror law in the Elgar Parishad case, died at a Mumbai hospital on July 5 in the middle of his fight for bail on health grounds.

The 84-year old Jesuit priest was born in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruchirappalli as Stanislaus Lourdusamy.

Stalin was accompanied by DMK Lok Sabha MPs Kanimozhi and Dayanidhi Maran among others.
