Colors TV has launched its new show, “Doree,” featuring a central character, a child abandoned by her biological parents. Ganga Prasad (played by Amar Upadhyay), a weaver of Banarasi sarees, discovers Doree (Mahi Bhanushali) floating in the Ganges River. He rescues the girl and becomes her foster father. The story revolves around Doree maturing into a bright, charismatic, and independent 6-year-old who questions prevailing societal norms.
