The Gujarat State Election Commission on Saturday announced the schedule for the local body elections of 6 municipal corporations, 81 municipalities, 31 district panchayats and 231 taluka panchayats.
Accordingly, the polling for the Municipal Corporations will take place on Sunday, February 21 while for the municipalities and panchayats, polling will take place on Sunday, February 28. Polling will commence at 7 am and end at 6 pm.
The counting of votes for Municipal Corporations will be held February 23 while for municipalities and panchayats, counting will take place on March 2, the release said.
