With an aim to honour and celebrate individuals who have faced cancer and emerged as survivors and warriors, Sterling Hospitals, a multispecialty hospital, in association with Brahma Kumaris is organizing an event as a part of their “Rise Again” campaign here on Sunday. This event is to celebrate the fearless spirit of cancer patients and also for raising awareness about comprehensive cancer treatments.

For this event esteemed Oncologists from Sterling Hospital will highlight the importance of spiritual guidance and enlightenment, acknowledging that they play an important role in supporting the patients’ mental strength during their battle with cancer. The discussion will also focus on the comprehensive treatment provided at Sterling Hospitals, which includes cutting-edge technology, advanced medical procedures, and thorough post-operative care highlighting on mental health support, recognizing that a strong mental state and will power and how it is crucial for recovery.

“June being the National Cancer Survivor Month, we have planned to honour and celebrate individuals who have faced cancer and emerged as survivors or warriors. Survivorship is more than just about living after treatment – it’s an examination of the patient’s progress over time, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. It looks at all aspects of their life, including the physical, mental, emotional, social and financial effects that surviving cancer can have on a person. It serves as a reminder of the strength, resilience and determination that our patients demonstrate every day,” said a senior official of the hospital..

Commenting on the event Dr. Simmardeep S Gill, MD & CEO, Sterling Hospitals said, “Cancer is a long-drawn battle for patients of various age group, the treatment involves the team of doctors, patient’s internal fighting spirit and support of family members to overcome the challenges at various stages. With the RISE AGAIN campaign we are honoring patients’ fightback spirit and encourage them to live better ahead. I am sure this activity will spread the message of positivity within society for other patients who are fighting at the moment.”

In our ‘Rise Again’ campaign, the cancer warriors will share their experience of resilience coupled with the support of their near and dear ones, support groups. They will also the efficacy of latest medical advancements in cancer care,” Dr Nitin Singhal added.
