Sterling Hospitals, one of Gujarat’s leading multi-specialty healthcare networks, has launched a dedicated Emergency Response (ER) Ambulance Service for Ahmedabad, promising swift, citywide, free-of-charge emergency medical assistance. Citizens can now dial 99132 99132 to access the ambulance, which will transport patients to any hospital in the Medical Capital of India-Ahmedabad.
Equipped with advanced life-saving technology, an integrated command centre, and round-the-clock live monitoring, the ER ambulances are designed to provide rapid, stabilising care. Sterling Hospitals’ skilled medical teams will transmit real-time patient vitals to the receiving hospital, ensuring uninterrupted continuity of critical care.
Deputy Mayor of Ahmedabad Jatinkumar Patel, who inaugurated the service, hailed the initiative as transformative for public well-being. “As Deputy Mayor of this vibrant city, I warmly welcome and wholeheartedly applaud the launch of Sterling Hospitals’ state-of-the-art Emergency Response (ER) ambulance services. This exemplary initiative by Sterling Hospitals perfectly aligns with its progressive objectives and broader vision to contribute meaningfully to the health, safety, and overall well-being of Ahmedabad’s residents,” he said.

Santosh Marathe, MD & CEO of Sterling Hospitals, underscored the organisation’s commitment to patient-first care. “We are happy to launch our Emergency Response Ambulance services in Ahmedabad. Our unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care for our patients has always been our top priority. With our expertly trained paramedics, tech-support team and prompt response mechanism, we are confident to contribute to enhanced need of emergency and care facilities, further solidifying our position as a provider of top-notch patient care,” he said.
He added that Sterling’s Emergency Department functions 24×7 with senior consultants and super-specialists across cardiology, orthopaedics, neurosciences, and other critical fields, supported by high-end diagnostics and seamlessly integrated ICUs and modular OTs. This, he said, enables “instantaneous escalation and uninterrupted advanced critical care for every patient.”
Raman Bhaskar, Zonal Director, Sterling Hospitals–Ahmedabad, emphasised the initiative’s patient-centric approach. “Sterling Hospitals is deeply committed to redefine healthcare by combining cutting-edge medical services with a compassionate, patient-centric approach. The launch of ER ambulance service is a testament to our mission to empower the citizen with the tools and support they need for a faster response to an emergency situation. Ahmedabad being the heart of the state, deserves the best care and emergency response and me being an Amdavadi now, it will come as a commitment from Sterling Hospitals since we have been serving the city since more than 2 decades,” he said.
