Life is full of ups and downs and sometimes, people may not be able to stick to their New Year resolutions due to certain situations. Also, if we are not careful about setting realistic and interesting goals, we may lose interest in them over a period of time. A prominent dietician guides all how to execute the New Year resolutions and lead a healthy life.
People who think that getting fit and healthy is the hardest thing, giving a simple excuse is “lack of time”. But when you make yourself a priority, nothing is impossible. Certainly motivation is necessary for this, but self-discipline is also a must, because motivation will remain only for a few days, while discipline will stay for whole life. A living example of this is Dietician Saurabh Kaushik from ‘Aura -The Diet Clinic,’ Ahmedabad. Dietician Saurabh Kaushik has beaten obesity and achieved a healthy lifestyle.
Sharing his experience, Saurabh Kaushik, a dietitian at ‘Aura- The Diet Clinic’ in Ahmedabad, says, “In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, most of them have started opting for shortcuts like junk and fast food, ready-made food and processed food instead of a diet that has traditionally been prepared. Fresh and home-made main meals have given the go by. But, you can change your diet by consulting a dietician, because our mind wants junk food, body doesn’t.”
You can lose weight and stay fit by including enough variety of legumes and grains, fruits, green leafy vegetables, salads to meet your daily requirements of protein, carbohydrates, fats, minerals and fiber.
Rising stress levels, mood swings also affect your mental health, which ultimately harms your physical health. Hence, some basic things suggested here should be followed by everyone. For example, get 7 to 8 hours of sleep every day, meditate, walk, run or exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. Stay away from any gadgets for 1 hour before sleeping and after waking up, balance professional and personal life and devote only 30 minutes a day to your favorite hobby like reading, listening to music or others. Of course this requires consistency, perseverance and patience, but the synergy of these three leads to our goal.
