In an informal chat with reporters in Chennai, Rohit Sharma, COO, AbhiBus said that this campaign will help company’s growth in Tamil Nadu by four-fold and aiming for two-fold year-on-year growth at pan-India level in coming years. 40-45 % revenue of the company is generated from the southern states. AbhiBus has achieved 4X growth from pre-pandemic levels
“AbhiBus has aggregated over 300 private bus operators with the fleet strength of 5,000 in Tamil Nadu and expected to add another 100 operators during the year. The company has in its fold over 3,500 operators and operating over 1.20 lakh routers across the country,’’ Sharma added.
Sharma further said, the bus aggregator also provides Online Passenger Reservation System to over 350 private bus operators and 5 SRTCs – Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation, Himachal Road Transport Corporation and Kerala State Road Transport Corporation in India..
“Our software solutions include fleet management solutions, vehicle tracking systems, passenger information systems, and logistics, providing a robust and customizable software solution to small and big-size bus operators. We primarily earn revenue from bus tickets in the form of convenience fees and commissions.’’
“We have launched ‘Abhi Assured’, first of kind in online ticket reservation system in the country, which assures the passengers hassle-free travel. We will refund the full ticket amount in case of any discomfort reported from the passengers while on board,’’ Sharma said.
