Stating that strategies that empower the society through leadership and management can bring positive change focused on sustainability and scalability, Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain inaugurated the Regional Management Conclave here on Friday.

The Amedabad Management Association (AMA) hosted All India Management Association (AIMA)’s Regional Management Conclave on the theme “Leadership and Management – Strategies to Sustain, Scale, Succeed” at AMA Ahmedabad.
In her inaugural address, the Chief Guest and Mayor of Ahmedabad, Pratibhaben Jain remembered Dr. Vikram Sarabhai’s contributions and inspirational leadership and appreciated AMA’s role in promoting excellence in the field of management in the western region. She said, “Strategies that empower the society through leadership and management can bring positive change focused on sustainability and scalability. Today women are leading different areas, including the corporate sector and contribute significantly in nation-building.”
She also inspired citizens to lead and how we can resolve burning issues like water logging, traffic management etc by practicing management.
Gujarat Minister of State for MSMEs Jagdish Vishwakarma, in his address at the special session, said, “Leadership and Management are two sides of the same coin and goes parallel. Ancient Indian Wisdom is full of timeless leadership strategies which enables individuals, organizations and corporate to manage self and others, and overcome emerging management challenges and opportunities and sustain, scale and succeed in all endeavours. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his responsible leadership and contributions such as ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India.’”
Dr. Savan Godiawala (President, Ahmedabad Management Association) presented the welcome address by extending the gratitude to All India Management Association for giving an opportunity to AMA for hosting the Regional Management Conclave 2025 and said, “Effective leadership and management are crucial in navigating the complexities of the modern business world. Sustainability and Scalability are essential for driving growth and thriving success.”
Rajiv Gandhi (Vice President, Ahmedabad Management Association) said, “Leadership is about responsibility and strong leadership and management practices are necessary for achieving long-term sustainability and scalability. By adopting the right strategies, leaders can build resilient organizations that thrive in today’s competitive landscape.”
Sanjay Kirloskar (Chairman and Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited) addressed on “Implementing Sustainability Initiatives” and Dr. Savan Godiawala (President, AMA) chaired this session. Sanjay Kirloskar shared the journey of production and efficiency based on sustainability, energy conservation, reducing carbon footprint and our attitudes toward life and focusing on what we can do for customers. He stressed on setting trends, integrating women leadership, and practising vanity, sanity and reality. Risk taking is necessary and if not succeed, learn from failure and don’t make the same mistake twice.
Sundari Nanda (Former IPS Officer and Special Secretary, Internal Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India) addressed on “Fostering Diversity and Inclusion” and Gopi Trivedi (Honorary Joint Secretary of AMA) chaired this session. Sundari Nanda elaborated the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and stressed on diversity with inclusion to promote globalization. She said, “No man is an Island and there are many challenges in individualism.”
Richard Rekhy (Vice Chair, Grant Thornton India) and Yash Shah (Founder, The Address) addressed on “Shaping India’s Future – Role of Leadership” and Yatindra Sharma (Past President, AMA) chaired this session.
Nishant Behl (Founder, Expand My Business – EMB Global); Abhishek Desai (Founder, CricHeroes, Co-Founder, Digicorpand; and Dr. Rajat Moona (Director, IIT Gandhinagar) addressed on “Embracing Change in the Digital Age” and Mohal Sarabhai (Honorary Secretary of AMA) chaired this session.
Unmesh Dixit (Executive Director, AMA) presented the valedictory session and expressed gratitude to AIMA, all speakers, and participants. The Regional Management Conclave attracted around 400 participants from the local management fraternity and the entire Western region and enabled them to interact with distinguished business leaders and management experts.
