Tamil Nadu Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department Vikram Kapoor gave three success mantras – never be content with your achievements, never compete with others and strive hard to better version of them.
Participating as Chief Guest at the 22nd Graduation ceremony and Silver Jubilee celebrations of Alpha Arts and Science College here on Wednesday, Vikram Kapoor said, “Life is full of uncertainty, and we have to live with it. We need to realise that we cannot change events but can change the way we face them. Everything is evolving and changing rapidly, and we need to adapt to the changes to survive. For that we have to be aware of the things happening around us and have to learn continuously. So, the most important lesson for you all is to never be content with your achievements. At the same time never compete with others. Strive to become a better version of you. Whatever you do in life, take pride in it. Gradually strive to achieve excellence. Wednesday (March 23) happens to be the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, who is the finest youth that India has ever produced. Take inspiration from all our freedom fighters, who inspired the nation to nurture the people around them.”
As many as 718 students were graduated, and prizes were distributed to the Best Outgoing students.

The graduation day ceremony was also attended by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Member, State Planning Commission, Tamil Nadu, Dr K Saleem Ali, IPS (Rtd.), Former Member of National Disaster Management Authority, DGP of Tripura & Special Director of CBI, Dr Grace George, Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions.
