Study Group announced the launch of two post-graduate programmes at the beginning of September 2020 at the University of Huddersfield – London, the United Kingdom with its first intake in September 2020 starting in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Speaking to the media, Neil Christie, the Global Sales Director of the UK -Division Study Group, said, “ At the Greenwich campus, University of Huddersfield – London will initially offer two post-graduate programmes: MSc Accounting and Finance and MSc International Business. The University of Huddersfield has been recognized as a center of excellence and a gold-rated University by the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). They have an impressive record of providing 93.8% employment to its postgraduate students through placements. The university offers scholarships to deserving students.”
When asked why the study Group is wooing the students from Gujarat, Neil Christie replied that “Ahmedabad is a vibrant and most popular city of Gujarat, has been leveraged with this opportunity to be a center of the announcement in the presence of prominent associates of the University across the state. Gujarat has a growth rate of 55% in the last two years in terms of visa applications to study abroad. Every year in Gujarat many bachelors fly for their master’s degree in London. However, an overall growth rate in India in the number of visa applicants has been 22% in the past two years.”
Speaking at length on the launch of the University of Huddersfield’s London campus Neil Christie said, “Huddersfield London represents an incredible opportunity for students to enjoy the best opportunities. Study Group has seen a massive increase of more than 3000% in the pathways application from India in the year 2019-2020. However, the University of Huddersfield alone has witnessed a growth of 27.50% in applications from India out of which 20% – 30% of applications were from Ahmedabad itself. The perks of studying at this University would remain the same in all the cities, including Gujarat.
