Surya Roshini, one of the largest branded manufacturers of lighting products in India has on Friday announced aggressive marketing campaign to become No. 1 player in lighting business in Tamil Nadu said, Jitendra Agrawal, CEO – Lighting and Consumer Durables, Surya Roshini.
Addressing at the glittering launch in Chennai, Jitendra Agrawal said, “We have adopted a comprehensive 360-degree marketing strategy during the Golden Jubilee year of its operations. This approach involves a series of promotional initiatives across diverse social media platforms including YouTube and other channels, decorating retail outlets, and on-ground activations. These endeavours are aimed at engaging both customers and channel partners, in a meaningful way.’’

He further said, “Surya Roshini lighting and home appliances is being marketed through 120 distributors, 12,000 retail outlets across Tamil Nadu which includes 2,200 outlets in Singara Chennai. As part of its aggressing marketing strategy, the top brass of the company will meet over 100 distributors in Chennai on Friday.’’
Jitendra Agrawal also asserted that the largest branded manufacturer of lighting products in India, Surya Roshni continues to set the industry standards. It is perhaps the only company in India that invested significantly in the last century in conventional lighting manufacturing excellence and now in this century in the new technology which is energy saving and modern LED Lighting manufacturing excellence. In the past 7 years, Surya Roshni LED lighting has successfully saved an impressive amount of energy for the country and its market share in this segment is 20 per cent, he added.
Surya Roshini got the privilege to provide decorative lighting of the Kedarnath temple and also a football stadium in Assam, Jitendra Agrawal said.
Atmanirbharata initiative
Aligned with the union Government’s PLI scheme, the company is making a substantial investment of Rs 25 crores in its technology labs and manufacturing facilities. This strategic move contributes to import substitution, furthering its pursuit of self-sufficiency (atmanirbharta), Jithendra Agrawal said. Surya Roshini has 6 manufacturing facilities, including two in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh.
Replying to query, Jitendra Agrawal said that the Surya Roshini will make sizeable investment design and manufacturing solar-powered home appliances and Air-conditioners and refrigerators.
