Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA), on Wwdnesday announced it has been ranked No. 1 in the Airport Council International’s (ACI) globally recognised Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for the second quarter of 2025, based on passenger feedback.
In both Q1 and Q2 2025, SVPIA earned a perfect 5/5 score and ranked No. 1 in passenger satisfaction category among airports in the 5-15 MPPA category. Moreover, the airport also ranked no.1 in passenger experience for the Q2 2025. While Overall Passenger Satisfaction focusses on waiting time, ease of navigating the airport, staff courtesy, etc., Overall Passenger Experience highlights how travellers rated their journey through the airport—not just how satisfied they were, but how seamless, comfortable, and enjoyable the entire experience felt.
Based on the ACI-ASQ Departures survey conducted among passengers travelling from SVPIA, the airport has consistently ranked in the top quartiles globally and within Asia-Pacific, across key areas such as:
- ease of finding check-in counters
- short waiting time during check-in and security screening
- courtesy and helpfulness of airport staff and security personnel
- availability of seating and cleanliness in gate areas
- ambience and health & safety across the terminal
This accomplishment reflects the results of a survey conducted between April and June 2025, as well as SVPIA’s compliance with ACI’s stringent benchmarking methodology. The airport’s emotional score—gauging how passengers feel at the end of their journey—was also notably high, affirming the positive travel experience SVPIA strives to deliver.
