The campus of JG International School transformed into a vibrant celebration of imagination, intellect and sporting excellence as more than 800 young learners from 17 schools converged for “Swadha – The JGIS Fest 2026.” The two-day extravaganza showcased the limitless potential of children, inspiring them to think beyond textbooks, compete with integrity, innovate with purpose and celebrate the joy of learning through creativity, collaboration and sportsmanship.
JG International School successfully hosted “Swadha – The JGIS Fest 2026,” a two-day inter-school literary and sports festival on July 17 and 18, 2026, providing an enriching platform for students to exhibit their knowledge, creativity, innovation and athletic abilities.
The sporting events, organised on July 17, featured Penalty Shootout, Basketball Free Throw, Table Tennis, Karate and Chess, encouraging participants to demonstrate agility, concentration, strategic thinking, teamwork and the true spirit of fair play.
The literary and creative competitions held on July 18 included Poems Out Loud, Poster Making, Digital Logo Designing, Mind Marathon and Group Singing, allowing students to express themselves through words, art, technology and music while enhancing their confidence and communication skills.
One of the festival’s biggest attractions was the Design Thinking Challenge, where students were encouraged to identify real-life problems and create innovative prototypes by applying empathy, creativity and critical thinking. The challenge empowered young innovators to convert imaginative ideas into practical solutions capable of making a meaningful impact on society.
The festival commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Principal Dr. Kavita Sharma, Head – Administration and Human Resources Dr. Rekha Anil, and Manager – Parent Relations and Academics Rema Nair. A soulful choir performance by students set an inspiring tone for the celebrations.
The two-day festival witnessed spirited participation, healthy competition and remarkable teamwork, with competitions evaluated by distinguished experts from diverse disciplines. The event concluded with a grand valedictory and prize distribution ceremony honouring the winners, participating schools and judges for their invaluable contributions.
Through Swadha – The JGIS Fest 2026, JG International School once again reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to holistic education by creating meaningful opportunities that nurture confident, creative, compassionate and future-ready learners equipped to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
