As part of the sixth leg of the cyclothon, the Battle Axe Division of the Indian Army has completed the stretch from Myjlar to Jaisalmer on Tuesday. It was flagged off by NK Sodha Singh (Retd) who was part of the 17 Grenadiers Team who conducted the famous Camel raid on Saidu in 1971 Op Cactus Lily.

Throughout the route the team met with Ex Servicemen, Next of Kin of the war heroes. Mel Milap with veterans was carried out at Pochana and Sam, COVID kits were distributed and plantation drive carried out at Sam.

The Battle Axe Division also organized a medical camp at Jaisalmer Military Station. The event witnessed active participation and healthy footfall of Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naaris and their Next-of-kins. The medical camp also endeavoured to create awareness about COVID-19 pandemic and its preventive measures.

The event culminated in a grand flagging in at Jaisalmer by the veterans Nk Bhairo Singh (Retd), SM of BSF, Naik Chotu Singh, Shaurya Chakra and Honorary Captain Derawar Singh.
