AHMEDABAD, MARCH 20
Taking a major leap into expanding its footprint in the education sector, Swarrnim Group announced its foray into primary, secondary, and higher secondary education by launching Swarrnim School. The upcoming school campus will be situated in Adalaj, Gandhinagar. It has already invited applications for admissions and will open its doors to the students from the academic year (AY) 2024-25.
Swarrnim Group, which has a decades-old legacy in the education sector, launched the country’s first startup university – the Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University. The idea behind foraying deeper into the education sector is to impart education to shape and mould the young, enthusiastic minds and expand the horizons of the pedagogy of schooling, where students can learn beyond the realms of the classrooms and acquire life skills through an experiential and advanced digital method.
Swarrnim School will begin its classes for classes Pre to 9 and eventually upgrade to classes 10, 11 and 12 (General, Science and Humanities). The school will impart education in English Medium and the classes are expected to begin from June this year. Veteran and accomplished educationalist, Nashy Chauhan has been roped in by the Swarrnim Group to be at the helm of affairs at Swarrnim School as the Director General.
Explaining the group’s vision behind building a school, Chauhan said, “Swarrnim Group has taken newer strides in innovation in education time and again. The Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, which is the country’s first of a kind, is one such example. The idea behind extrapolating the Group’s efforts into schooling is to offer education that imbibes universal values and moral, build courage, instill self-confidence and foster sense of responsibility in the minds of students to get them ready to face challenges in life”. She further added that
“The school’s curriculum is inspired from innovative teaching-learning methods that have been practiced and widely propagated across the globe having a perfect blend of global education and new age world. Our methodologies are child-centred, experiential, inquiry-based and project-based, which go a long way in making students understand different subjects and enhancing their creative thinking and problem solving abilities,” Chauhan further went on to say.
Students’ parents can visit the school and coordinate the admission forms with the office staff. They may get along with their children wherein the Director General will explain to them about boards and teaching methodologies. After document submission and verification, parents can pay the fees and admit their children.
Swarrnim School will be situated in a lush green campus spread over a humongous 4-acre campus in Adalaj, Gandhinagar. The school will be equipped with 21 modern, fully air conditioned and digitally enhanced classrooms. The classrooms are colourful, well-furnished and well ventilated, providing ample space for a creative and comfortable learning environment. Other facilities at the campus include play area, a coding and Robotics Laboratory, a colourful and well-designed browsing room and library, dedicated laboratories for Math, Language, Science, Technologies and ICT, an amphitheater encouraging confidence and dramatic expressions of children among, and a sports ground, among others.
Sharing more information about the curriculum at Swarrnim School, Rishabh Jain, President, Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, said, “The upcoming Swarrnim School will have a skill-based and practical learning approach. The curriculum here will be learning-centred and is designed to provide a multi-sensory experience and real-life connection to students by inculcating 21st century skill sets. Instead of merely clearing exams, our approach is centred around learning and therefore, there will be no examinations for students of Grade 1 to 4. Instead, teachers will opt for continuous assessment of children to gauge their grasping power and understanding.”
“After completing their Grade 12 education, children can also step into Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, which is the country’s first startup university,” Jain added.
