Thought leaders also shared insights on how businesses and educational institutions must adapt to the shifting demographic landscape.
Putting this in perspective, Harjeet Khanduja, Senior Vice President HR, Reliance Jio, said, “Hiring today is not just about finding the right people—it’s about adapting the way we work to suit new generations as well. By 2030, millennials will form 50% of the workforce, and the future will be shaped by technology designed to enhance their productivity, creativity, and engagement. Therefore, it is important for the work culture to evolve and processes to be enhanced for organisations to keep their workforce motivated and at the same time drive them to deliver their best.”

Dr DM Pestonjee, Former IIM Ahmedabad Professor, introduced the ‘3H Approach’—Hand, Head, and Heart—highlighting that COVID-19 added a crucial fourth ‘H’: Health. He drew parallels between the erstwhile world of industrialisation and that today.
“The pandemic has highlighted the importance of well-being in professional and personal spheres. As the average age of society declines and mental health challenges among the youth rise, HR professionals must prioritise training and support systems to create a healthier, more resilient workforce,” he explained.
