According to industry estimates, the Kitchen & Dining Furniture market in India is projected to reach US$251.32 million in 2025, growing at a CAGR of 2.28% through 2030. Interio aims to significantly outpace this growth, backed by aggressive expansion plans, new-age product launches and scaled manufacturing.
Scaling Smart, Building Fast
Interio is expanding its footprint to 250 kitchen galleries across 120 cities, supported by its advanced manufacturing facility at Khalapur, Maharashtra, which now produces up to 250 kitchens per day. This scale allows the brand to deliver speed, consistency and customization—key expectations of today’s digital-native consumers.
Speaking on the changing consumer mindset, Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business, Interio by Godrej, said, “The Indian kitchen is no longer just a utility space, it’s becoming a lifestyle statement. Consumers today want modular solutions that blend design, functionality and long-term durability. Our growth is being fuelled by these evolving aspirations, with 35% of our sales now coming from Tier 2-3 cities, up from 24% in FY24.”
Design It Like an App: 3D Kitchen Configurator
In a move that resonates strongly with tech-savvy buyers, Interio has launched a Kitchen Configurator on its e-commerce platform. Powered by 3D modelling technology, the tool enables customers to visualise their dream kitchens in real time, explore layouts and understand pricing upfront.
The platform offers pre-configured modules for common kitchen layouts, with prices starting from Rs. 1.25 lakh. Customers can seamlessly connect with their nearest dealer through the configurator to create personalised solutions tailored to site conditions and civil requirements—bridging the gap between online discovery and offline execution.
Steel Kitchens, Smart Accessories
Among Interio’s flagship offerings is Steel Chef, a modular steel kitchen range positioned in the mid-premium segment. Designed for Indian cooking conditions, it blends durability, aesthetics and customization—appealing to young homeowners seeking longevity without compromising on style.
Interio also manufactures a wide range of smart accessories such as chimneys, tall corner units, 2,200-unit storage solutions and 7-foot tall pull-out units, addressing everyday pain points like storage, accessibility and maintenance.
Faster Installs, Future-Ready Design
The L-shaped kitchen layout continues to dominate Indian homes due to its efficient use of space and adaptability. Interio’s modular CKD (Completely Knocked Down) units enable faster, cleaner installations—completed in 5–7 days, compared to weeks for traditional carpenter-made kitchens.
Looking ahead, Interio plans to double down on emerging trends including smart home integration, sustainable materials, biophilic design elements and multifunctional furniture, positioning its kitchens as future-ready hubs for modern Indian living.
