Tamil film “Kattil’’, the story spinning around a 350-year-old cot of a family, has been selected for screening at the International Film Festival to be held in Pune from March 11 to March 18.
Addressing a packed press conference, its producer and hero E V Ganesh Babu said that the entire team working for the success of the film feels happy to hear the news from the Maharashtra government.
Those who toiled round the clock for the last year cherished every moment of the shooting, EV Ganesh added.
The film has all ingredients – from love, sentiment, family values – and got Clean U certification from the Censor Board.
E V Ganesh has brought out a colourful book on how the entire film was produced with the experiences of the artists who worked for the film. The book was released at the press conference.
Actor Sirushtange paired with E V Ganesh as heroine. Chartered and Cost Accountant of `Min Pimbangal’’ Geetha Kailasam (Daughter-in-Law of legend director KB), writer Indira Soundararajan, Metti Oli fame Shanthi, Actor Semmalar were part of this project.
Leading Editor P Lenin was the story, screenplay, dialogue writer, and editor of the film.
Isai Perarasu Vairamuthu and Madhan Garghi were lyricists. Srikanth Deva was the music director, Ganesh said.
The film was produced by Maple Leaf Productions.
