Durga Stalin, wife of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, made a significant offering at the Guruvayur temple in Kerala. During her visit on Thursday, she presented a golden crown, which is estimated to be valued at around Rs 14 lakh, to the temple.
The crown, fashioned from 32 sovereigns of gold, was bestowed as a gesture of devotion. Besides the gold crown, she also offered a machine that grinds small pieces of sandalwood. The machine is worth over Rs 2 lakhs. This machine will process the remains of small pieces of sandalwood in the temple.
Accompanied by her sister and other relatives, Durga Stalin graced the temple during her visit, demonstrating her deep reverence.
The arrangement for presenting the gold crown was facilitated by a Coimbatore-based businessperson.
