Valiant Team of Tamil Nadu NCC cadets have won eight medals in the 32nd All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship held at Army Marksmanship Unit Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. The competition was held from September 1 to 10.
“Tamil Nadu state cadets delivered a superlative performance and bagged eight medals. Cadet Vimal Ashok and Cdt Vidhyasree bagged one Gold each along with one Silver/ Bronze, Cdt Preethi V, Cdt Arthi bagged one Silver and Cdt Arun S bagged one Siver and One Bronze Medal. In addition, total 10 Cadets have been qualified to represent the State/ DGNCC Shooting team in the 66th National Shooting Championship 2023 to be held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi from 15 November 2023,” says a Tamil Nadu NCC Directorate release.
This Directorate has already excelled in Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Championship, the 48th Tamil Nadu State Level Shooting Championship and the South Zone Shooting Championship by winning more than 85 Medals in July-Aug 2023, the statement added.
