Tamil Nadu to use MLALAD fund for corona relief, says Chief Minister

In a release issued here today, Palanisamy said that Rs. 1-crore from the MLALADF would directly allocated for purchase of medical equipment to contain the spread of coronavirus across the state. He however said that the MLAs can continue to allocate Rs. 25 lakhs from theif MLALADF for coronavirus relief work, he said.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has cleared utilisation of Rs. 1-crore from all the MLAs Local Area Development Fund for COVID-19 related relief works here on Tuesday.

கொரோனா தொற்று பரவுவதை தடுக்க மாவட்ட, மாநில அளவில் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சைக்கான உபகரணங்கள், மருந்துகள் வாங்கவும், தடுப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கும், அனைத்து சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களின் தொகுதி மேம்பாட்டு நிதியிலிருந்து தலா ரூ.1கோடியை மாநில அளவில் ஒருங்கிணைத்து பயன்படுத்தி கொள்ள உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளேன்.

The Chief Minister has issued the statement in the wake of the opposition leader M.K. Stalin condemning the state government for rejecting the allocation of Rs. 60 lakh by the Aravakurichi MLA Senthil Balaji to a hospital for buying ventilator in social media.
