The Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health Association (TNVHA), the Federation of NGOs in Tamil Nadu, kick-started its state-level awareness campaign on cancer here on Saturday.
Dr Vidya of Public Health Department, Erode Cancer Centre In-charge Dr Madhumitha and coordinator Sindhu had explained in detail on how to prevent and tackle the cancer.
Arcot NGO President Chandrasekar and Bengaluru-based industrialist Murali inaugurated the campaign, says a release from TNVHS.
Meanwhile, the 51st Annual General Body meeting of the Tamil Nadu Voluntary Health Services saw the participation of the office-bearers of over 160 NGOs who enthusiastically took part in the meeting and shared various issues.
The meeting held at World University Seva Centre at Chetput was presided over by its President Shyamala.
Secretary Kesavraj, Joint Secretary V S S Jalaludeen and Treasurer Mohammed Hussein held discussion on various issues being faced by the NGOs.
