Tata Asset Management has opened its new branch at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in GIFT City, Gujarat, further cementing India’s position as a hub for international capital flows. Alongside, the firm has received approval to launch the Tata India Dynamic Equity Fund – GIFT IFSC, a retail-focused inbound feeder fund with a minimum investment ticket size of just USD 500, making Indian equity markets more accessible than ever to global investors.
A Gateway to India’s Growth Story
Prathit Bhobe, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Asset Management, emphasized the long-term opportunity: “India is at the cusp of a multi-decade growth cycle, powered by demographics, digital transformation, infrastructure push, and economic formalisation. With our entry into IFSC, Tata AMC is well-placed to connect international and NRI investors with India’s vibrant capital markets through innovative and accessible products.”
Smart Strategy for Dynamic Returns
The Tata India Dynamic Equity Fund employs an active allocation strategy, balancing large, mid, and small-cap exposures for risk-adjusted growth. It also allows tactical exposure to high-potential themes like technology, energy, and healthcare.
Abhinav Sharma, Head – International Business, highlighted its accessibility: “With a minimum ticket size of USD 500 and significant tax advantages for non-residents, this fund opens India’s growth potential to investors both large and small. Its dynamic allocation—50–100% to broad-based funds and up to 50% to sectoral themes—ensures diversification with flexibility.”
Tax-Efficient Advantage for NRIs & Global Investors
A key attraction is complete exemption from Indian taxes on income earned through the fund. Investors are taxed only in their country of residence, making this one of the most tax-efficient entry points to India’s equity markets.
The fund is open to foreign individuals, entities, NRIs, and Overseas Citizens of India from FATF-compliant jurisdictions.
Strengthening Global Footprint
With this strategic launch, Tata Asset Management reinforces its commitment to bringing India’s growth story to the world, while expanding its global presence through GIFT City.
