Tata Chemicals has been ranked among the CII Top 50 Innovative Companies 2025, a prestigious recognition conferred at the CII Global Summit on Technology, R&D and Intellectual Property held in New Delhi.
Instituted in 2014, the CII Industrial Innovation Awards benchmark Indian enterprises through the Enterprise Innovation Maturity Framework, a rigorous assessment of how innovation is embedded across organisational strategy, governance, processes and performance. The framework places strong emphasis on measurable outcomes across products, processes, technologies and business models.
The recognition underscores Tata Chemicals’ sustained commitment to science-led innovation, robust R&D capabilities and its proven ability to convert ideas into scalable, high-impact solutions. The company’s innovation portfolio spans advanced materials, sustainable chemistry and next-generation science, aligned with long-term value creation and environmental stewardship.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr Richard Lobo, Head – Innovation, R&D, Business Excellence and Chief Ethics Counsellor, Tata Chemicals, said:
“At Tata Chemicals, our innovation focus is rooted in serving society through science and guided by a deep sense of responsibility. We are committed to translating research into practical, scalable technology solutions that enhance competitiveness while addressing national, societal and environmental challenges. This recognition by CII reflects the unwavering dedication of our people, customers and partners in driving meaningful progress.”
The award also acknowledges the pivotal role played by Tata Chemicals’ R&D teams, including its state-of-the-art innovation centre in Pune, which continue to strengthen the company’s competitiveness in both domestic and global markets.
Going forward, Tata Chemicals remains firmly focused on innovation-led growth, while actively contributing to India’s evolving innovation ecosystem through deeper collaboration with industry, academia, partners and customers.
