Tata Sons has announced a ₹1 crore compensation for the families of the victims. The company’s chairman, N. Chandrasekaran, stated that a team of Boeing experts is on their way to assist with the investigation into the cause of the crash.
N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, had announced on X that the Tata Group will provide ₹1 crore to the families of every victim of the ill-fated AI 171. He added that the group will cover the medical bills of everyone injured, which might include those on the ground.
Finally, Chandrasekaran’s post promised support for rebuilding the hostel of BJ Medical College, into which the flight has crashed. Most of the injured listed in the release by the Ahmedabad Police are presumed to be from the medical college’s hostel for undergraduates.

Air India deploys special care team to Ahmedabad

AI declares one-time waiver for Ahmedabad flight cancellations
Air India has reportedly announced a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation. Passengers who booked Air India flights on or before June 12 2025 for travel to or from Ahmedabad between 12–14 June 2025 are reportedly applicable for the waiver.
The aforementioned Air India fliers are now at the liberty to reschedule their travel without paying any additional charges or fare difference. There is news of relief for those reconsidering their travel plans in the light if the disaster. Passengers who decide not to make the trip will not have to pay any cancellation charges, as Air India will be waiving the full fee for cancelling their tickets.

Schedule of relief flights to Ahmedabad from Delhi, Mumbai
Air India announced two relief flights for next of kin of passengers and Air India staff—one flight each from Delhi and Mumbai, to Ahmedabad.
Flight IX1555 will leave Delhi for Ahmedabad at 2300 hrs on Thursday, June 12. On its return leg, the flight will be designated as IX1556. It will leave Ahmedabad for Delhi at 0110 hrs on Friday, June 13.
