For the first time, Gujarat Travel & Tourism Excellence Award – 2020 are organized by Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited (TGCL) to honour the organizations and individuals who have contributed to the tourism sector of the state. This event will be organized in the presence of Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic, a virtual event will be organized, a release sais.
There will be a live telecast of the award ceremony on the official Facebook page of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited at 4.30 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2020. All the citizens of the state can join the event at https://.www.facebook.com/gujtourism
Tourism Minister of the state Jawahar Chavda, State level Tourism Minister Vasan Ahir, Secretary of the Tourism department Mamata Varma and Managing Director of Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited Jenu Diwan, and other people associated with the tourism sector will remain present in the Gujarat Travel & Tourism Excellence Award – 2020, the release added.
The awards will be given in the 13 different categories including Accommodation Facility, Tour Operator, Travel Fleet Operator, Tourist Infrastructure Project, Blogger, Photographer, Gujarati Cuisine Restaurant, Technology, Leading tourism initiative by a district, Banquet / Convention Facility, Tour Guide, Tourism Event Organizing Agency and Special Jury Awards.
Vinod Zutshiji, Former Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, PK Laheriji, Former Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat, Nasir Rafiqji, Advisor to State Institute of Hotel Management, and Pallavi Mehra, Group Director and Publisher of Travel Trends Today have served as Jury members to decide the winners of Gujarat Travel & Tourism Excellence Award – 2020.
