PRSI – Ahmedabad Chapter has felicitated seven school principals as part of its Vijayi Bharat Campaign on Saturday, Teachers’ Day. A special award was given to Visamo Kids Foundation in recognition of its two decades of service for the betterment of underprivileged children across Gujarat, Subhojit Sen, secretary, PRSI said.

The principals have shared their thoughts on Atmanirbhar India and how different creative campaigns were organized by them to motivate and sharpen the young minds among the participants across the country in the video-conference. The celebration was organised in collaboration with UNICEF India.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Ajit Pathak – National President, PRSI shared, “For the last 63 years, the Public Relations Society of India has been a beacon of PR and media intelligentsia of the country. Recently, Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank”, Union Education Minister launched the Vijayi Bharat Abhiyan. Under this campaign, we envisage that India will re-define the economic development, global business, and inclusive growth based on our traditional treasure of knowledge, innovation, and creativity, Post-corona, the movement of ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make In India’ will put India on top of the world”. A video message of Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal was also shown to the audience.
Dr. Shashikant Bhagat of NIMCJ, cohost of the PRSI said that PRSI – Ahmedabad Chapter was happy to collaborate with UNICEF India to commemorate Teachers’ Day.
A keynote address was shared by Dr Pushpa Joshi – Education Specialist, UNICEF India on “Keeping children learning through the COVID19 pandemic”. UNICEF’s presentation focused on strategies and measures to ensure continuity of learning among children from all sections of society in the state.
Dr. Sonal Pandya, Head of the Department Mass Communication, Journalism and Public Relations, Gujarat University was also invited to share her thoughts on “the Centre of Excellence in Communication for Social and Behaviour Change” that has been established by UNICEF in partnership with the department.
Renowned schools were felicitated for their exemplary contributions to modern and creative education campaigns and principals of all these schools – Anju Arya of Army Public School, Uma Raman of Shri Satya Sai Vidyamandir, Fr. Titus D’ Costa of St Xavier’s Naroda, Nirali Dagli of Calorx Public School, Jeromy Thomas of Satyamev Jayate School, Mrs. Anita Baviskar of Gyanjyot Public School and Sharmistha Sinha of Zebar School were present at the online meeting. Sudheshna Bhojia and Ami Shah received the special felicitation on behalf of the Visamo Kids Foundation.
Abhimanyu Goswami of NetAnalytics, Satyen Gadhvi , and Tuli Banerjee of Biting Bowl, Sweety Gosar of Genius Brain Academy, Salomi Gupte of Qi to Happiness Dog Therapy programs, Paresh Dave of Studio Positive Jindagi, Dr. Twinkal Patel of Motherhood Foundation were present to felicitate the educators. The programme also the presence of Wing Cdr Puneet Chadha, Public Relations Officer (Ministry of Defence) who shared his views. Renowned National Television actor and Vadodara boy Manav Gohil were also invited to give away the special award to Visamo Kids Foundation.
National Council Members of PRSI – Dr. Ajit Pathak, Nivedita Banerjee, Dilip Chauhan, Narendra Mehta, U S Sarma, MS Mazumdar, Unmesh Dixit, and Babji Yana also graced the meeting along with Chapter Chairman of 18 National chapters. R K Singh – Chairman, Ahmedabad Chapter thanked all the other attendees for their gracious presence.
