Telangana State INTUC President Alikachenu.Sai Baba on Sunday expressed his happiness on the appointment of Dr Vamsi Krishna, former MLA of Acchampet as the President of Nagarkurnool District Congress for the second time by the party High Command.
The Congress High Command on Saturday provided long-awaited approval for the committees for the running of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. AICC general secretary (organisation) KC Venugopal cleared the list.
The AICC approved the constitution of the executive and political affairs committees besides giving the nod for the appointment of 26 District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents, 24 vice-presidents and 84 general secretaries.
Telangana State INTUC President Alikachenu.Sai Baba felicitated Dr Vamsi Krishna at his residence on Sunday.
Vamsi Krishna Garu said, “The new DCC of the Congress Party will work with new enthusiasm and will assume power in the coming days.”
Sai Babu said that DCC president Dr Vamsi Krishna has taken the problem of the Marumula area of Nagarkurnool district to the state level. He said that by giving this opportunity to Vamsi Krishna has once again shown the sincerity of the Congress party towards the Nallamala area. Vamsi Krishna called upon the youth to fight on behalf of the Congress and its affiliates on public issues in the four constituencies of Acchampet, Kalwakurti, Nagarkurnool and Kolhapur.
