A delegation of Telangana Tamil Sangam led by its president MK Bose had extended a formal invitation to State Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, on Thursday.
The purpose of the meeting was to extend a formal invitation to Her Excellency to be the Chief Guest at an upcoming event organized by Telangana Tamil Sangam, and also to discuss various welfare activities aimed at benefitting the Tamil Speaking people in the state. During the meeting, representatives from Telangana Tamil Sangam, expressed their gratitude to the governor for taking the time to meet with them. They presented an overview of Telangana Tamil Sangam’s activities and highlighted their commitment to promoting the Tamil language, culture, and heritage in the region, says a TTS release.
The delegation led by President MK Bose submitted a memorandum to the governor regarding welfare of Tamilians in the state and the extension of the Charminar express from Hyderabad to Kanyakumari via temple Cities of Villupuram, Chidambaram, Mayiladuthurai, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur.
The Sangam had already sent a representation to the Minister for Railways, Government of India and the copy also sent to G Kishan Reddy, Minister for Tourism and Development, Government of India, the General Managers of South Central Railway, Secunderabad, Southern Railway, Chennai and Trichy.
The Governor assured to take positive necessary action about the memorandum. One of the key points of discussion was the upcoming event hosted by Telangana Tamil Sangam, which aims to celebrate and showcase the rich Tamil culture and heritage. The delegation extended a formal invitation to Her Excellency, requesting her esteemed presence as the Chief Guest at the event. They emphasized the significance of Her Excellency’s participation in promoting cultural diversity and fostering unity among different linguistic communities in the state. Her Excellency, the Governor, appreciated the efforts of Telangana Tamil Sangam in preserving and promoting Tamil culture and expressed her willingness to consider the invitation to be the Chief Guest at the upcoming event.
She also commended the organization’s commitment to the welfare of Tamil speaking people and encouraged their continued efforts in this regard. The Sangam office-bearers Vice President P Dharmaseelan, General Secretary S Rajkumar and Executive Members JS Vasan and E Saravanan, thanked Her Excellency for her time and consideration and assured her of their dedication to fostering a harmonious and inclusive society within the state. Telangana Tamil Sangam remains committed to its mission of preserving and promoting the Tamil language and culture while actively engaging in activities that contribute to the welfare and well-being of Tamil Speaking people in Telangana State, the statement added.
