The Leela Gandhinagar, the exotic luxury destination in the twin city of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, hosted The Silk Route Brunch, serving delightful indulgences from different places along the historic trade route that stretched from the Mediterranean region to Asia.
The Silk Route Brunch traversed China, India, Persia, Arabia, Greece, Mediterranean and Italy, was called so because merchants carried silk and several other commodities from Asia to Europe using the route for well over 1,500 years. India too was a vital part of the ancient Silk Route.
Led by Executive Chef Ashis Rout, The Leela Gandhinagar’s talented culinary artists laid out a lavish spread of indulgence comprising exclusive Silk Route curations for guests to relish and cherish as a part of The Silk Route Brunch at Citrus Junction, the award-winning ultimate luxury dining destination conceptualised around the odyssey of luxury trains of yesteryears.
The Leela Gandhinagar’s mixologists also hosted a Silk Route special mocktail making session for the guests. The exclusive pottery classes and special entertainment arrangements made The Silk Route Brunch a thoroughly enjoyable experience for the guests.

The elaborate dining menu of The Silk Route Brunch comprised a lavish extravagant and indulgent spread starting from Arabic Chicken with turned vegetables and potatoes (Moroccan and Arabic Influence), Turkish Kebab(Lamb) from Mediterranean Region, Afghani Murgh Tangdi- Influence of Afghanistan/ Northern frontier to inspired from Silk Route region of India- Kabuli Pulao, Chicken tikka butter masala, Sikhampuri Kebab and Mushroom duxelle filled Vol au vent, Nadru Yakhni and Pindi Chole.
