Cancer survivors who once faced the uncertainty of diagnosis, the rigours of treatment and the fear of the unknown inaugurated the new Oncowin Cancer Center on S.G. Highway, near Science City, on Sunday—transforming a formal healthcare launch into a stirring celebration of survival and hope.
Their presence delivered a powerful message to cancer patients and their families: a cancer diagnosis need not be the final chapter. Early detection, timely treatment, advanced medical care and an unwavering will to fight can change the course of the disease.
The new centre at Empire Doctor House marks another significant expansion of Oncowin’s oncology network in Gujarat.
“The new branch offers comprehensive oncology care under one roof, including adult medical oncology, blood cancer care and bone marrow transplant services, along with a dedicated wing focused exclusively on paediatric hemato-oncology,” said Dr. Rushabh Kothari, Medical Oncologist and Co-Founder, Oncowin Cancer Center.
Don’t wait for cancer to speak louder
The inauguration also spotlighted one of the most crucial weapons in the fight against cancer—early detection.
Persistent symptoms, unexplained changes in the body and unusual health concerns should not be ignored or allowed to linger. Timely medical consultation and appropriate screening can help detect several cancers at an earlier stage, when treatment may offer better prospects.

The S.G. Highway facility brings together adult medical oncology, blood cancer care, bone marrow transplant services and specialised paediatric hemato-oncology.
The expansion is aimed at making advanced and coordinated cancer care more accessible to patients in Ahmedabad and surrounding areas, while reducing the burden of travelling to multiple locations for specialised consultations and treatment.
Oncowin’s Gujarat cancer-care expansion
With existing centres in Nikol and Paldi, the S.G. Highway centre further strengthens Oncowin’s presence in Ahmedabad. An upcoming centre in Gandhinagar is also in the pipeline.
“By expanding its services at S.G. Highway alongside existing branches in Nikol and Paldi—and announcing an upcoming centre in Gandhinagar—Oncowin is actively building a more accessible, compassionate future for cancer care in Gujarat,” Dr. Kothari said.
