In a must-attend learning experience for aspiring innovators, entrepreneurs and future leaders, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) will host a special session titled ‘Thinking Big, Building Bold – a conversation with Kanwal Rekhi’ on Monday-January 26, 2026.
The event offers students a rare opportunity to interact directly with Kanwal Rekhi, one of India’s most respected global technology leaders and entrepreneurs, whose career spans decades of building, mentoring and scaling technology ventures.
Designed as an open and engaging conversation, the session will delve into Rekhi’s life journey, professional experiences, and the lessons learned while navigating leadership challenges, high-stakes decision-making, resilience during setbacks, ethical entrepreneurship and uncertainty in the real world.
Students will gain practical, experience-driven insights shaped by Rekhi’s long engagement with the global technology ecosystem, making the interaction especially relevant for those exploring careers in startups, deep tech, corporate leadership and innovation-driven enterprises.
The event will be conducted in a fireside chat format, featuring a 45-minute moderated conversation, followed by a 15-minute interactive Q&A session, allowing students to ask questions, seek guidance and engage directly with the speaker.
The session will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Jagdish Patel Learning Theatre (AB10/201) on the IIT Gandhinagar campus.
