Manohar Kahaniyan is an anthology series on Tata Sky Adbhut Kahaniyan powered by Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd. Adapted from the popular magazine of the heartland, Manohar Kahaniyan and inspired by true stories, this series caters to the three intriguing genres; Thriller, Horror, and Crime. The upcoming episode will be portraying the life of a celebrity named Soniya. This star-studded episode features Monica Khanna as the actress and Neel Motwani as the husband, along with actors Ajay Chaudhary and Manoj Chandila as lawyers.
This story revolves around famous film star Soniya Mukherjee (Monica Khanna), a beautiful, strong-headed woman who is passionate about her acting career. She falls in love and marries Mihir (Neel Motwani), a business tycoon. Their love story sees a twisted faith when Mihir gets shot by Soniya’s gun on their wedding anniversary. The police arrest Soniya for the murder of her husband, but she pleads innocent. Nobody believes her except for her co-star, and he requests Prashant (Ajay Chaudhary) to be her lawyer since he is righteous and always fights for the truth. However, when he meets Soniya, he is unsure about her intentions. Is Soniya the culprit or is she the victim?
Monica Khanna, who plays the role of an actress, said,“I had a wonderful time shooting for this show. I got to work with my old friends and crew. When Anirudh Dave offered the role to me, I was proud to see him turn from an actor to a producer. Talking about my character, I could relate to Soniya at many levels. It is not easy to be an actress. We need to keep our personal and professional life separate and make sure the show goes on.”
Talking about his character, actor Ajay Chaudhary added, “I love doing realistic characters. Just like my character Prashant in the show, I am a person who talks to the point. My friends always told me that I would have been a good lawyer if acting was not an option. I chose this show because it had a hint of realism, and this show helped me take a step towards it.”
