The Tamil Nadu State Public Works Department (PWD) has won the prestigious annual award of Central Board of Irrigation and Power for ‘excellence in implementation of Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP). The award recognises successful rehabilitation and improvement work in 69 dams to ensure better operational performance.
The award was given away by the Union Minister of State for Jalsakthi Rathan Lal Kataria during the Irrigation and Energy Day in New Delhi recently.
Dr. Manivasan and his team had handed over the award to the Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Thursday and took his blessings, said a release from DIPR.
