Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday announced an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for families of six persons who died in a road accident in Thozhupedu near Madhuranthagam.

In his twitter handle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoles the death of six passengers and wish the injured speedy recovery.
The accident took place on the Chennai-Kanniyakumari National Highway on Friday when an SETC bus driver, who lost control of the vehicle collided with a lorry parked on the roadside, resulting in the death of six passengers, including two women, on the spot and more than 10 severely injured.
