- CVRDE Director unfurls the National flag

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi laid a wreath at the Victory War Memorial at Kamarajar Salai, Chennai on Sunday morning, in view of India’s 76th Republic Day. On the solemn occasion, he paid homage to the soldiers of the Defence Forces who laid their lives in service of the nation.
Indian Army General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area, Lieutenant General Karanbir Singh Brar, AVSM, PVSM laid a wreath at the War Memorial and paid his respects.
Indian Navy Flag Officer Commanding of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Area, Rear Admiral Satish Shenai, NM and Indian Coast Guard Easter Region Commander, Inspector General Datwinder Singh Saini, TM paid floral tributes at the memorial.
The Indian Air Force Tambaram Station Chief Administrative Officer Wing Commander Kalyan Raman placed a wreath, on behalf of the Station Air Officer Commanding, Air Commodore Rathish Kumar.
Veer Nari’s and veterans of the Defence Forces also joined in paying their respects at the Victory War Memorial on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day.
The 76th Republic Day was celebrated at CVRDE (a unit DRDO), premises, Avadi, Chennai-54.
J Rajesh Kumar, Outstanding Scientist & Director, CVRDE unfurled the National flag, followed by singing the National Anthem by all attendees. Thereafter, Director, CVRDE delivered the keynote address for the gathering. CVRDE Senior scientists, Officers, staff & support teams attended the event and shared their greetings on the eve of the Republic Day celebration.
