Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi eulogised the Operation Sindoor for its tactical execution by the Armed Forces and the free hand given by the government.
He was speaking at the inaugural session of the Rashtriya Raksha University’s (RRU) new academic year (2025-26) here on Tuesday.
The Governor said, “Operation Sindoor emphasized knowing precisely how and when to initiate and stop a tactical response to an attack, while meticulously limiting your engagement only to achieve the goal. This short and swift war has shown the synergy between the matured political bosses and the disciplined Defence Forces in safeguarding the nation. Further, the deployment of Made in India air defence system had exhibited the capability of our defence production.”
“Post-Pahalgam the tourism industry is blooming in Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, thanks to the decisive action taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve the situation. Pakistan’s bid to create chaos there will be decisively dealt with our security forces,” the Governor said.
Tamil Nadu Governor has raised alarm over the demographic changes occurring in Assam, North-East and West Bengal. He urged the country to engage in a serious and sensitive discourse on demographic shifts, warning, “This issue is like a ticking time bomb. We must think about how we deal with this in the future and begin finding solutions today itself.”
Governor Ravi noted that “a major shift is visible since 2014 in governance and law enforcement, utilizing the same state machinery and apparatus, ensuring zero tolerance to any terror or internal divisive insurgencies. It is essential to have the knowledge of Shatrubodh, as to who is your enemy, which is very important; and to have awareness of Rashtrabodh, a sense of national consciousness and to have workable solutions.”
RN Ravi, commending the visionary leadership and thought process of Prime Minister for establishing the futuristic university, said, “Establishment of the University originally as the Raksha Shakti University, a State University, happened in the backdrop of security and safety challenges posed to the civilians, institutions and religious places due to the series of terror attacks that occurred across the country through different terror outfits and internal divisive forces. The vision is not simply to educate and train, but to understand the major concerns, issues and challenges in the country at grass root level; to identify them and provide workable solutions to the government and to the security and police forces through deep research and the use of technology.”
Through the RRU platform, the Governor called upon the youth to respect all languages and not to be divided on linguistic and cultural diversity, but instead to embrace it as One Kutumb, a tree with a variety of branches and with each leaf being totally different from one another, yet being part of the same tree.
Furthermore, he emphasized that RRU role is not limited to educating students or training armed services and police personnel. Instead, it needs to act as a Guru Dronacharya tracing out issues and challenges of the forces, in our society and in divergent fields, providing practical solutions to the government, including precautionary measures and remedies before such incidents or chaos unfolds, when it is in its preparatory stage itself. The Governor appreciated the visionary approach of Minister and Union Home Minister for envisioning and establishing Rashtriya Raksha University and Prof. Bimal Patel for the institution’s remarkable growth and presence across the globe through its incredible performance and achievements.
