Tamil Nadu Information Technology Minister Mano Thangaraj and Western Australian Deputy Premier Roger Cook jointly flagged off a 25 Electric Vehicle heritage tour and travelled in an auto here on Sunday.
The heritage tour was organized as part of the Green Energy awareness drive.
IT Minister Mano Thangaraj and Western Australian Minister Roger Cook took the green journey from Taj Coromandel Hotel to Amir Mahal.
- The electric autos were driven both by both male and female drivers
- The Australian delegates travel by an auto from Taj Coramandel Hotel, Nungambakkam to Amir Mahal, Royapettah along the scenic routes of the Marina Beach.
IT Minister Mano Thangaraj said, “This 25 Electric Vehicle heritage tour is aimed at creating awareness on environmental pollution and realizing the need to use green renewable energy. The purpose of the ride is to promote gender neutrality and equal opportunities for men and women in all sectors. It also emphasises the need for cleaner and sustainable transport alternatives to help with the prevailing climatic conditions and create awareness around road safety.”
Mano Thangaraj along with the 25-member Australian delegation led by Deputy Premier Roger Cook, and Ministers for Development, Jobs, Trade, Tourism, Commerce, and Sciencetravelled from Taj Coramandel Hotel, Nungambakkam to Amir Mahal, Royapettah along the scenic routes of the Marina Beach in Chennai. The autos were driven by both genders.
A dinner was hosted by Prince of Arcot Mohammed Asif Ali at Amir Mahal for the visiting delegates. The event was graced by the visiting Australian minister of tourism and 23 other delegates, along with ministers, celebrities and socialites from Tamil Nadu.
The delegation came here to strengthen government and industry connections; tap the business opportunities of Western Australia in the Indian market; and promote Western Australia as a destination for tourism, travel, higher education, and business investment.
This event was hosted by M AUTO Electric Mobility led by its Founder Mansoor Ali Khan and CEO Yasmeen Jawaharali.
