A valiant Team of 30 NCC cadets of NCC Directorate (TN, P&AN) has won winning 76 medals in the 48th Tamil Nadu Shooting Championship Competition held at Madurai from Monday to Sunday- 17 to 23 July 2023.
- It is the highest number of medals ever achieved by an NCC team in the history of Tamil Nadu
- These NCC cadets were selected after a fierce state level selection trials conducted in the month of April – May 2023
Tamil Nadu NCC Cadets achieved a new milestone and created a bench mark of excellence by winning 33 Gold, 28 Silver &15 Bronze in both the individual & team categories. It is the highest number of medals ever achieved by an NCC team in the history of Tamilnadu.
These NCC cadets were selected after a fierce state level selection trials conducted in the month of April – May 2023 and had undergone various stages of sports shooting training camps at Cadets Academy in Trichy and Kongu Engineering College in Erode from May – June 2023.
Another team of Tamil Nadu NCC Directorate secured Runner-up position with 2 Gold & 3 Bronze Medals in All India Level Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Competition (IDSSC) 2023 held at Trivandrum (Kerala) during the first week of July 2023.
