The Headquarters NCC Directorate for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Monday felicitated 66 cadets and their supporting staff for their outstanding performance in recent shooting competitions.
The Commanding Officer Commodore S Raghav praised the cadets for their hard work and dedication, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence in all their endeavors.
The felicitation ceremony was held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the HQ NCC Directorate in Chennai. The event honored the exemplary performance of 66 cadets and their supporting staff in recent prestigious competitions.
“A team of 18 valiant NCC cadets from the HQ NCC Directorate participated in the Inter-Directorate Shooting Championship (IDSSC) 2024, held at Trichy from July 2 to July 15, 2024. The cadets displayed remarkable skill, discipline, and sportsmanship, securing top positions and bringing accolades to the directorate. Their dedication and rigorous training were evident as they excelled in various shooting disciplines, setting high standards for their peers,” an NCC release said.
“In addition, 48 cadets represented the directorate in the 49th Tamil Nadu State Shooting Competition, showcasing their prowess and commitment to excellence in shooting sports. The cadets’ achievements are a testament to the rigorous training and support provided by the NCC and the dedication of the cadets themselves,” the statement added.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by senior officers of the NCC, dignitaries, and the proud parents of the cadets.
