In alignment with Tamil Nadu and Union Governments’ policies of tapping the sports talents in every nook and corner of the country, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association on Wednesday launched the new Dormitory and Gymnasium at TNCA Academy Satellite Centre, Theni in South Tamil Nadu.

In an attempt to spot young untapped talent from our state and provide them opportunity to train and be coached by the best and experienced, offer them access to train under the best of infrastructure, the TNCA Academy has launched many Satellite centres in the Districts of Tamil Nadu.
D V Ravi, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Shriram Capital was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the new facilities in the presence of the Guest of Honour N R Manivannan, Former Vice President TNCA and President Theni DCA, R I Palani, Hon Secretary TNCA, Adam Sait, Vice President TNCA, Dr. R N Baba, Hon. Asst. Secretary TNCA and Laxman Narayan, Apex Council Member, TNCA.
The Members of the TNCA Apex Council, Member Club Secretaries, District Cricket Association, Members of Cricket Advisory Committee, representatives of various other committees, Former Cricketers, Coaches, friends and well-wishers attended the function.
Under the new initiative TNCA Academy launched satellite centres at Theni and Tiruppur in Phase 1 and the Bhoomi puja for centre at Madurai have been completed and would be operational around November 2024.
“The Trichy Satellite Centre would be inaugurated in March 2024. We march ahead with a dream to set up such centres in more districts and provide an avenue for the Tamil Nadu Cricketers to train under the best of facilities,” the statement added.
