As part of the 75th Independence Day celebration to be held on August 15 statues of Military Heroes and prominent and influential apolitical figures were cleaned in multiple locations all over Gujarat by the NCC cadets of the Gujarat Directorate.

In addition, the cadets also posted a large number of messages on the social media platform highlighting the importance of cleanliness. The District administrations actively cooperated in the overall conduct of the event. The efforts of the cadets in paying tribute to our National heroes were widely appreciated by the local population.
Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, National Cadet Corps, Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu complimented the efforts of the cadets and advised the cadets to continue maintaining these statues in the future as well.
