Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated an auditorium-cum-lecture hall at the Indian Coast Guard Residential Area, Naliya in Kutch district on Thursday. The hall has been constructed to encourage learning and awareness about the maritime domain and ensure coastal security along the sensitive coastline of Gujarat, a release said.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the Governor lauded the perseverance and resolve made by the Indian Coast Guard troops in ensuring maritime safety and security not only in Gujarat but also in the country. On this occasion, the Governor also said in his perspective that he has pride in the unmatched gallantry, duty, and dedication of the ever-vigilant Coast Guard which is using the latest technology to protect the maritime boundaries of the nation.

Further, the Governor congratulated the officers and personnel of the ICG present in the audience, on the upcoming occasion of the 45th Coast Guard Raising Day on Monday, February 1, the release added.
