To transform the Indian economy stronger by making $1 = Re 1, the Chennai Chapter of the Indywood Billionaires Club (IBC), an elite club of billionaires from Tamil Nadu, was inaugurated here on Friday.
Speaking at the inaugural function, IBC founder and NRI entrepreneur Sohan Roy, said, “To realise the IBC’s collective goal of making the Indian Rupee equal to One Dollar, the club has identified major drain holes in the economic bucket of our country which can be only plugged by when EFFISM, a powerful Efficiency Improvement System Management is effectively implemented across all sectors. This innovative tool is an offering of AIMRI, the research and development wing of Aries Group. IBC dreams to encapsulate the entire Billionaire community into this blockchain concept to transform the India with efficient human resources.’’
While addressing the inaugural session of the Chennai chapter, Sohan Roy, Founder Chairman and CEO of ARIES Group of Companies said, “IBC could be a Desi Club with the main aim to make the nation strong and an effective alternative to Lions Clubs and Rotary Clubs which are controlled by someone at international level.”
The IBC was founded with the sole aim of making $1 = Re 1 in 2016 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Subsequently, the IBC chapters were inaugurated in Kochi in Kerala on September 2018, Dubai on October 4, 2018, and then regional chapters were inaugurated in Karnataka on September 7, 2019, and at Hyderabad on September 21, 2019.
To mark the inauguration of Chennai chapter, the IBC honoured top-notch billionaires, celebrities, and successful businessmen.

Indywood Fashion Premier League Season-3 adds spice
Adding glamour and entertainment quotient to the inaugural event, a fashion event – Indywood Fashion Premier League Season-3 was held. The contestants were handpicked by Abhini Sohan Roy, Executive Director, IFPL. The event was organised with the theme “Walk for a Cause’’ to support the weaving community.
Akshara Reddy, Miss Super Globe – World 2019 and Vidya Pradeep, Indian Model and Actress walked the ramp as show stoppers.

Earlier, in the afternoon doyens and successful leaders of education from Tamil Nadu were honoured with the Indywood Education Excellence Awards 2020.
It was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Innovative methods to improve the efficiency and Industrial Applications in Academic sector’.
