Apollo Cancer Centre, Teynampet in the capital city has observed Rose Day to spread the message that cancer is conquerable.
Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman Apollo Hospitals Group and Ms.Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director Apollo Hospitals Group visited and interacted with the patients and gifted roses that marks the spirit of life, love and happiness.
Rose Day is a celebration of life for cancer patients, perpetrated in the name of Melinda Rose, a Canadian born 14-year-old, who, though herself afflicted with cancer, spent her time spreading cheer and happiness all around her.
The courage, endurance and the spirit of children who have fought valiantly against cancer is celebrated each year on Rose Day, on the 22nd of September all over the world.
Cancer survivors at Apollo Cancer Centre shared experiences of their fight against cancer and elaborated on how positive attitude, will power and strong support from family, friends & society played a crucial role in their recovery.
Apollo Cancer Centre has joined hands to show appreciation to the patient families and donors who have struggled together to achieve miracle cures, a release said.
