Enthused by the overwhelming response to its first-ever Gujarati music awards ‘Top Music Awards’ held last year, Top FM, a Gujarat-based radio channel of Sambhaav Media Limited, present in 8 B towns of Gujarat, 4 stations in J & K and one in Ladakh has on Tuesday announced their ‘Top Music Awards Season 2’ to be organised on March 4, 2023 in Ahmedabad.
- The jury panel includes Saumil Munshi (Musician), Shyamal Munshi (Musician), Sandeep Patel (Film Director), Rajeev Bhatt (Musician), Mukesh Malvankar (Lyricist and Writer) and Sachin Limaye (Singer).
- Any Gujarati song released between. 1st January, 2022 and 31st December, 2022 is eligible to be nominated.
- Entries can be registered till February 10th at topmusicawardsguj@gmail.com

The jury for Top Music Awards Season–2 includes Saumil Munshi (Musician), Shyamal Munshi (Musician), Sandeep Patel (Film Director), Rajeev Bhatt (Musician), Mukesh Malvankar (Lyricist and Writer) and Sachin Limaye (Singer).
“Ever since our inception in 2018 Top FM is committed to the Gujarati music and aspire to take Gujarati music to next level. Last year in March 2022, we successfully launched Top Music Awards, in presence of our Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghavi and Reliance Industries’ Director of Corporate Affairs and AP Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani,” Payal Vyas, Programming Head, TOP FM, said.
To a query on grooming young talents by holding singing contests, Payal replied that “We do not have any such plan to singing contest for youngsters. However, exceptionally talented youth can approach anyone of our 8 stations to show their mettle for promotion.”
Answering another query ‘whether Top FM would promote Kutchi and tribal languages?’, she said, “They can take part under Folk Song category to reveal their latent talents.”
Speaking with NavjeevanExpress.com editor, Neeraj Attri, TOP FM, said, “Today, the Gujarati film industry is progressing rapidly, in which music has also made a huge contribution. TOP FM is deeply committed to Gujarati music and this is often manifested through our innovative programmes centralized around Gujarati music. After the grand success of last year’s Top Music Award, TOP FM is back again with another sensational season of “Top Music Awards – Season 2. This year “Top Music Awards Season-2” will be held on March 4, 2023 in Ahmedabad.”
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Sameer Dias, Head-Corporate Sales & Activation, Top FM, said, “While television channels get sponsorships to hold singing contest for budding artists, radio stations do not get such support.”
Top Music Awards Season-2 will give away music awards to outstanding performers in Gujarati films and independent categories.
Any song released in the Gujarati language during the period from i.e. 1st January, 2022 to 31st December, 2022 is eligible to be nominated. Entries can be registered till 10th February, 2023 on topmusicawardsguj@gmail.com
The Nominations can be registered under two major Categories a) Films and b) Independent.

Best Play Back Singer Male, Best Play Back Singer Female, Best Music Composer, Best Album of the Year, Best Background Score, Best Programming and Arranging, Best Song Mixing of the Year and Best Lyricist.
Independent
Most Popular Independent Song of the Year, Best Lyricist Independent Music, Best Composer Independent Music, Best Experimental Music – Independent, Critic’s Choice- Independent Song of the Year, Best OTT Song of the Year, Best Devotional Song of the Year, Best Folk Music, Best Recreated Garba/Song of the year, Best Original Garba/Song of the year, Best Video Song of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award.
