National award-winning director G Vasantha Balan’s next film ‘Aneethi’ produced by Urban Boyz Studios and its Telugu version ‘Blood and Chocolate’ will release in both languages simultaneously on July 21 in theaters across the world in a grand fashion.
The trailer and the songs of ‘Aneethi’ have been launched on Saturday, and there was an audio launch function set to happen too, in the evening. After numerous appearances in supporting characters, Arjun Das makes it to the big screen in the role of a male lead. Dushara Vijayan plays female lead.

Lyricist Karthik Netha who spoke on the occasion said, “It’s a great pleasure to work with director Vasantha Balan. Na. Muthukumar had a lot to say about Vasantha Balan. I have written two songs in this film as an extension of Muthukumar. One is a love song and the other is a song describing justice and injustice. GV Prakash has composed the music very wonderfully. ”

The film’s dialogue writer, ‘Director’ SK Jeeva said, “Having directed films, including ‘Pudumaippithan’ and ‘Lovely’, I worked as writer for ‘Azhagiya Tamil Magan’. I was involved in various attempts as well. After a long gap, director Vasantha Balan offered me a role in his film ‘Jail’. One day he contacted me over the phone, and asked me to write the dialogues for ‘Aneethi’. It was a pleasant surprise for me because Vasantha Balan himself is a very good writer. Not only that, he is in close touch with all leading writers of Tamil literary world. After ‘Nadiga Vael’ MR Radha and Kalaignar, Arjun Das has a unique voice.”
Actress Vanitha Vijayakumar said, “I am re-entering the Tamil film industry after a gap with this movie. It is a very good film. I am very thankful to Vasantha Balan for giving me a very important role. Despite being one of the important directors of the film industry, Vasantha Balan does not have an iota of arrogance. He gets along with everyone so easily. Arjun Das can be called the Shah Rukh Khan of Tamil film world. I am not saying this to exaggerate.”
Elma Pictures Ethil Raj, who is releasing the movie ‘Aneethi’ across Tamil Nadu, said, “As a distributor, this is the first time that I am releasing a film across Tamil Nadu. Thanks to the producers of ‘Aneethi’ for giving me this opportunity.”

One of the producers of Urban Boyz Studios, M Krishna Kumar said, “All the producers of the film, including Vasantha Balan studied together from class 1 to college. Later we moved to different fields. Vasantha Balan was very interested in art and literature since school days and had won various prizes.”
