Thousands of tribals and villagers gathered together in devotion to grandly celebrate Sadhguru’s birthday on Sunday. Villages surrounding the Isha Yoga Center celebrated the occasion with great devotion by performing pujas, offering sweets and food to Sadhguru’s photograph.
Villages surrounding the Isha Yoga Center such as Madhavarayapuram and Muttatthuyal celebrated by worshiping the image of Sadhguru and offering food. Also, in Devarayapuram, Viraliyur, Narasipuram, Indiranagar (Viraliyur), Gandhi Colony (Semmedu) they performed pujas to the image of Sadhguru and expressed their joy and devotion towards him.
On similar line, the tribal people living in the villages of Bhati, Madakadu, Dhanikandi, Mullangadu, Kulatheri, known together as the Pancha Village, took out an image of Sadhguru in a procession and completed the procession in front of the statue of Adiyogi at 6.30 pm. People from Singapathi, Sarkar Porathi, Nallurpathi, Sakavandanpalayam villages also participated in these celebrations.
In the procession attended by thousands of people, the tribal folks performed dances and celebrated the occasion in great fervor. Following the completion of this procession, the people of Alanthurai, Thondamuthur, Attukal, Santhegaundanpalayam, Pooluvampatti organized an offering of food, later, in the evening.
Meanwhile, celebrating Sadhguru’s birthday, all the rural and hilly areas surrounding the Isha Yoga Center were abuzz with numerous events that took place throughout the day.
