After three busy days of business interactions, TTF Ahmedabad, the largest show in the multi-city TTF series came to a successful close on Saturday at Gujarat University Exhibition Hall here. With the huge turnout of trade visitors that exceeded all expectations, the show lived up to its promise of being an important milestone in the restarting of physical travel trade shows and rekindling hope for the tourism industry in the vast travel market of Gujarat.

TTF Ahmedabad was inaugurated in the presence of office-bearers of leading travel associations, stalwarts of the tourism industry, and government tourism officials. Speaking at the inaugural press conference, Sanjiv Agarwal, Chairman & CEO, Fairfest Media Ltd said, “We’re organising TTF shows for the past 30 years in the most prominent cities of India. While TTF Ahmedabad is usually hosted before the Diwali holiday season, we’re hosting this special post-pandemic edition of TTF to revive and help the travel industry.”

Jitendra Jadhav, Assistant Director, Indiatourism Mumbai added, “We’re participating here to give a big boost to domestic tourism and promoting the new products that the tourism ministry has introduced like Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Dekho Apna Desh.”

Jenu Devan (IAS), Managing Director & Commissioner of Tourism, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited visited the show on the first day. He said, “I congratulate the organisers for hosting TTF Ahmedabad despite all the COVID restrictions prevailing all over India. The show is a very good opportunity for exhibitors to connect with the travel trade in Gujarat who were looking for an opportunity to interact physically instead of virtually. The response that the show is receiving is very positive and heartening. The tourism industry will bounce back to its pre-COVID levels soon.”

Rajasthan Tourism Roadshow

Rajasthan Tourism conducted an informative roadshow exclusively for travel trade and media on the first day of TTF Ahmedabad. Ajay K Sharma, Deputy Director, Rajasthan Tourism made a vibrant presentation on the latest offerings from the colourful state of Rajasthan and answered a host of questions from those in attendance. The presentation was followed by high tea.

Apart from that, the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) hosted a networking session, and one of this year’s attractions, Destination Udaipur Pavilion hosted a product presentation on the show floor for the benefit of the travel trade.

The three-day show came to a rousing conclusion with the Valedictory and Awards Function where participants were awarded in various categories like best print promotional material, most exclusive leisure product, best value leisure product, and others. Jitendra Jadhav, Assistant Director, Indiatourism Mumbai, and Gazanfar Ibrahim, Managing Director and CMO of TTF gave away the awards to the well-deserving participants.

Sanjiv Agarwal, the CEO remarked, “ The response was more than expected and it has successfully set the wheels of travel & tourism in motion again, not only in the region but all over India. After almost a year of the shutdown, the industry is surely coming back to life again.”
