TVS Motor Company continues its commitment to stand united with various Government machineries in their sustained efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. Srinivasan Services Trust (SST), the social arm of TVS Motor Company is relentlessly working to support the Government in this fight by ensuring the safety and well-being of local communities in the border villages of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
As a part of the preventive measures undertaken by SST to contain the spread of Covid-19, SST has achieved yet another milestone by distributing almost 8 lakh face masks and around 2 lakh food packets till date to the essential care workers in the vicinity, from police personnel, municipal staff to healthcare workers and migrant workers. SST has also disinfected more than 2,600 villages.
TVS Motor Company, through SST had announced a contribution of Rs. 25 Crores to the PM’s Relief Fund (PM-CARES). This is in addition to Rs. 5 Crores towards Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to aid the battle against Covid-19. SST also handed over a ‘Disinfectant Spray Cannon’ vehicle to the Corporation of Chennai to aid in disinfecting areas and localities through chemical spraying.
